necro buff.. YAY,,

1 energy because it also has a HEALTH SAC. something that i thought should be the only cost from the beginning. not 0 energy, but its a giant step in the right direction..

mending nerf.. WTF! seriously, that +3 hp was good at keeping degen squads from being too overpowered vs a team with no RC.

SoR buff.. YAY!

all else, no complaints.

1/4 sec on Hexor's Vigor, very awesome, now it sits nice on my bar. It was useless at 2sec cast, easily interrupted.

Nerf to Heaven's Delight.. BAD! way too much of a reduction in healing. The recast time made this skill questionable but I still ran it. Now, its worthless. VERY VERY worthless.

Mystic Regen. hmm. kinda sucks that its not AS useful. But then I never ran more than two or three enchants anyway so good move on that.

as for the rest. I'll give a little blood sac a try out but I doubt I'll use it. blood Magic never really appealed to me because of the sac on a lot of the skills.

This update sucks. Why do they insist on continually nerfing Mesmers? Not just Clumsiness, but Ineptitude, AND Wandering Eye, AND Power Leak - skills that have pretty much been untouched and have worked fine for years!

My 2 cents

Mesmers

Clumsiness: increased casting time to 2 seconds; increased recharge time to 10 seconds; now affects adjacent foes.

I think you guys forget... fast casting and ... adjacent foes...this is a buff for pve mesmers...


Ether Feast: increased healing to 20..50 Health per Energy lost by target

Good buff nice healing skill, but damm some mesmer bosses are a pain to kill just because them have this skill...


Hex Breaker: changed skill type from stance to skill

Good buff...


Ineptitude: decreased duration to 4 seconds

dont mather... brainless pve foes and henchs... 4 seconds or 10 seconds its will trigger pvp same thing


Wandering Eye: decreased duration to 4 seconds; increased casting time to 2 seconds, increased recharge time to 10 seconds; increased damage to 10..92.

Again fast casting owns the increased casting, to dont overpower this skill recharge increase... and damage increased...

its a buff, again some pve mesmer will be a pain...


Drain Enchantment: decreased Energy cost to 5 Energy; decreased Energy gain to 8..13 Energy

buff again, great cheap healing skill, again some pve mesmer will be a great pain...

about mesmers ... if you kown how play with them its a great buff

This the greatest buff for pve foes of GW history lol some warriors with just healing signet are a pain to kill, not a trouble but cost some time to kill...

Hey guys, if you played necro, you wouldn't say that those 1 energy buffs are overpowered. Have you ever noticed that all those skills require some sort of health sacrifice? Spamming these skills leads to death. Most of these skills weren't worth the energy and the sac, now they made it better and worth it.

Heh, what are you on? First of all, the only skill in that list that has been "untouched for years" is Power Leak. The other changes either don't matter in PvE (4 second duration, the monsters still attack continuously, it's not like they'll wait), or are buffs. Mesmers wanted AoE damage, well, here's your AoE damage. Oh, and gj ignoring the buffs too; hex breaker, ether feast, drain enchant, very nice on all 3 counts.

Power Leak was unwarranted, as far as I can tell, but the rest of the skills are either "meh" or "nice"...certainly not worth the grip-fest I'm seeing here.

Blood magic buffs = wtf?
If you're going to buff BiP (which barely sees use outside of TanknSpank, anyway.) then you would expect a nerf to Ursan Blessing. (And no, i'm not speaking from a biased point of view on UB.)

would you not have an endless energy pool to run Healing breeze/mystic regeneration for example ? then spam the sacrificing skills

= deadly combo? 300 damage in less 1 second?

Actually come to think of it my mesmer is fully skilled as a necro so +sig of illusion = happy necro???

Power leak NEEDED a nerf. People who are saying otherwise haven't been playing a lot of PvP. That one skill is single handedly better then all the other e-denial skills in the game. It makes having stuff like energy burn/surge/sig of weariness worthless since you can condense it all down into one skill.

Blood magic has been bad for anything but spiking and touchers and needed something to bring it back into viability. I'm glad they are trying these 1 energy spells. It shows a.net is thinking outside the box for skill balance. Though I do worry that wallow's bite will now be a standard toucher skill.

Avatar of Grenth.... well, nobody used it after it had a nerfed duration time. The new functionality is strictly meh. It helps DPS against prot monks and targets with guardian, but only for the Dervish and not the entire team. Also, once a target is proted you should really just switch targets or remove the prot (which was the point of the old Grenth). This skill as it stands is kinda silly now. So what if you can keep wacking away at an aegiesed/guardian target? RoF/SoA/Spirit Bond will still be taking effect. It would be better to switch targets.

LoD is good. It is back to viable but no longer as overpowered as it once was.

Deep freeze buff is nice for water snarers. Also makes it more viable in PvE (where usually you just use ice spikes since stuff dies so fast).

I thought healing sig and lion's comfort were fine before. I don't think the buffs were needed.

Troll Ugent did need help. It is a very weak self heal before (and still sorta is).

Mystic regen isn't really nerfed. You still get +9 regen. This just means that now hex degen and burning will be useful against them.

I'll have to see the VoD changes myself.

Overall, 7.5 out of 10.

Happy for the Healing sig buff.

Mystic needed the nerf its still usable in UW duos and stuff.

Mesmer with cluminess just got another CRY anti spike
